Activities in the Library
The library is open during 1st break for students to enjoy all the library has to offer. It is a hive of activity with students reading, playing games, researching, using the computers and collaborating.
Checkers and chess
Our annual school checkers competition occurs in Term 4 If you're interested in learning about Chess? Follow the 'Chess Kids' for an easy to understand guide on how to play Chess.
Each Tuesday is Tech Tuesday. This is the day of the week when a group of students meet to enjoy experimenting with technology. Tech Tuesday also incorporates our Code Club. During lunchtime on Tuesdays, students have the opportunity to come along to Tech Tuesday and learn how to use a variety of technology. This term students have asked to learn how to create their own video games using the app Bloxels.
Students imagine, build, capture, design and play their own games. First, they begin with creating their own room for their game. Next, students develop their story line and create their own video game to play.
Scholastic Book club
The Scholastic Book club is run by our fabulous P&C and is distributed twice a term. Scholastic book club not only provides students with the opportunity to purchase quality literature at reduced prices but it also gives back to the school library.
The school receives a percentage of rewards from all sales which allows for the library to update and purchase new books for all students.
